If I leave by car at 8:40 AM, I think it would be perfect to arrive in Buan at 11:30 AM, have lunch, and start the schedule.

Buan rural bus
From here on, the real battle for pedestrians begins. The Buan rural bus is The dispatch interval is 40 minutes to 1 hour or moreThere are also many routes that run only 4 to 6 times a day.
It seems best not to expect a trip that goes exactly according to the schedule.
I'm the type to just casually pick out the restaurants I want to visit and travel lightly... but it's time to draw on my limited J-power for Mr. Ferret, who will be traveling on foot.

| route | panel | time taken | characteristic |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 times | Buan Terminal ↔ Byeonsan Beach ↔ Gyeokpo Port | About 35 minutes | The fastest route to Gyeokpo |
| 310/330 | Buan Terminal → Gomso → Naesosa Temple | About 25 to 40 minutes | Direct to Naesosa, 5–6 times a day |
| No. 66 | Naesosa Temple ↔ Gyeokpo (Weekend Tour Bus) | About 30 minutes | Operates only on Saturdays; advance confirmation is required. |
Let's check the rural bus timetable to fit our schedule and take the bus.
Places worth visiting in Buan

Buan's famous attractions include Chaeseokgang, Jeokbyeokgang, and Gomso Port., Naesosa Temple It seems they are concentrated around the nearby mountains and Byeonsan Beach.
Since it is a 2-day, 1-night walking trip, the goal is to spend a day at Gomso Salt Field and Gomso Port, and if time permits, to visit Naesosa Temple as well.
If I spend the next day at Chaeseokgang and Jeokbyeokgang and then stop by Byeonsan Beach if I have time, it looks like it will already be packed. I also want to see Jikso Falls, but it involves a two-hour hike... I don't think I'll have the luxury, so I'll skip it this time.
Chaeseokgang Sea Cave Tide

It seems there is a photo spot called a sea cave at Chaeseokgang, but it is said that it can only be safely viewed within two hours before and after low tide. When the tide is Sea TimeIt was possible to confirm at.
I figured morning would be better than evening after the sun had completely set, so I just went to the accommodation Chaeseokgang Decided to catch it nearby.
DAY 1 — Buan-eup · Gomso Salt Field · Naesosa Temple Fir Forest

DAY 1-1. Buan Terminal · Buan-eup
- Buan Sushi Restaurant
- Hanaro Mart Buan Nonghyup Main Branch
- Buan Permanent Market
There is a sushi restaurant near the terminal that uses Buan's local specialties, mulberry leaves and mulberries. I heard it gets crowded so you need to make a reservation, so if you go, let's have a quick lunch at 11 am when they open.
Whenever I travel to a different region, I like to stop by the local Hanaro Mart headquarters. It is fun to browse the various products and alcoholic beverages produced in the region.
It would be good to visit Buan Permanent Market and, if you have time, Haetteul Maru as well.
(DAY 1-1-1..? Gaeamsa)

It is cherry blossom season and the date is when the blossoms are about to bloom, so it is roughly similar, but the timing is a bit awkward. I can get there easily by taking bus 720, and there is a 10:40 bus, but then I have to take the 6:50 bus from Seoul.
If I take bus 720 at 10:40 … I arrive at 11:10

To get to the next destination, Gomso Port, you have to walk for about 30 minutes.
With meal times getting messed up one way or another, I think we might give up on Gaeamsa Temple..?
DAY 1-2. Gomso Salt Field · Seulji Bakery · Gomso Port
- Gomso Salt Field
- Seulji Bakery
- Gomso Port
I heard that the salt fields are famous. I heard that you are not allowed inside the salt fields from April to October because they actually make salt, but since it was March and the scenery reflected in the salt fields was really beautiful, I really wanted to visit.
Next to the salt fields is Seulji Bakery, famous for its salt-steamed buns, and it is the hottest bakery in Buan. The menu selection, which perfectly highlights the unique features of the spot, is intriguing, so I should definitely check it out.
As it is located near salt fields, various types of fermented seafood are sold in the vicinity of Gomso Port. There are many places nearby that sell fermented seafood set meals along with marinated crab, so my goal is to have an early dinner of fermented seafood set meals around 3 or 4 PM.
(DAY 1-2..? Naesosa)

You must go to Naesosa Temple by 4 or 5 o'clock at the latest to be able to look around for about an hour.
8:40 is too late, so I think I should take the 6:30 bus to Gyeokpo.
DAY 1-3. Gyeokpo Port · Sunset · Evening
Upon arrival in Gyeokpo, check into your accommodation.
Gyeokpo Port Fish Market or Chaeseokgang It would be nice to look around the fish market, but since I arrived late in the evening, the shops might be closed.
DAY 2 — Chaeseokgang · Jeokbyeokgang · Return to Seoul
DAY 2-1. Chaeseokgang · Jeokbyeokgang
Timed for low tide to visit Chaeseokgang and the sea caves, then had breakfast, returned to the accommodation, and checked out.
There were many restaurants around here that featured clams, a famous specialty of Buan, as their main ingredient. I plan to have breakfast at either Baekhap Restaurant or Jindo Restaurant.
After checking out, it takes 20 minutes on foot or 3 minutes by taxi to get to Jeokbyeokgang. It is a bit of a shame in terms of the route because I have to return to Chaeseokgang to take the bus back over, so I will have to decide whether or not to go depending on my condition that day.
(DAY 2-1-1..? Byeonsan Seawater Steam Bath)
Since the itinerary is quite challenging for a walking tour, I plan to visit Chaeseokgang on the second day and return directly to Buan Terminal.
If I have the energy, maybe I could stop by Byeonsan Seawater Steam Bath on the way...?
(DAY 2-1-2..? Foredo Healing Garden)
If you go up a little from the Buan Terminal, there was a handmade burger joint and cafe that used homemade tteokgalbi patties made with mulberry leaves. They also offered things like terrarium experiences and aquatherapy.
I might stop by if I skip a schedule in the middle, have spare time, or if the timing works out well.
Just looking at the bus schedule, it looks like it's going to be a tough trip for someone traveling on foot. I bet I'll have to get through another completely changed itinerary, right? I'm actually looking forward to it.
