The essence of blended Scotch whisky lies in the technique of combining the character of malt whisky with the smoothness of grain whisky.

While malt whisky is made using only barley malt in copper pot stills to produce deep and complex flavors, grain whisky is distilled from wheat or corn in continuous stills (Coffey Stills) to provide a light and clean character.
